Knowledge - CSD Internet has decades of experience in network services, with expertise on staff or on call for any challenge you can present. Our extensive collection of systems that we actively support include UNIX, Linux, Macintosh and Windows computers. Backgrounds for experience come from Wall Street and MCI. Service - CSD's support staff is on call 24x7 (for dedicated line and web customers) to answer your questions, and we have the resources and background to zero in on the solution in the most expediant manner. Bandwidth - CSD has direct connections to two of the largest Internet backbone providers, Sprint and ANS/UUNet, making us one of the few Tier two providers in the state. (Also one of the few with backup connections). Both carriers have been chosen for their expertise and reliability, none the less connections to both are necessary to provide the level of service we require. Our primary network bandwidth connection is via OC12 transport (fiber optic), with our own dedicated SONET ring providing a secure connection to the ANS backbone. Our backup path to Sprint takes a totally separate physical path (via a separate SONET OC3 in a separate fiber bundle on a facility entrance facing a separate geographical direction) to ensure maximum redundancy.

We pride ourselves in providing a reliable and true connection. While it is easy and common for Internet Service Providers to overcommit their Internet backbone connections by reselling the bandwidth many times over, we are able to commit to our customers that they will never be bound or limited in their bandwidth due to overselling of our backbone connections.

Processing power - Horror stories of non-responsive websites, slow connections and lost email. Often due to human error, also often due to processing power "brownouts", or overloads. Email, DNS (Name services), web hosting, all bound by processing power and reliability. Our servers were built to run reliably without fail, and they meet that commitment. Our systems are also engineered to support bursts of activity, we'll always have excess capacity, in both processing power and bandwidth, to support any activity your site requires. With backup processors, currently running at under 10% of total capacity, our systems are engineered with sufficient resources to serve the needs of our Internet clients reliably and well.

Our servers are currently hardened production DEC8400 machines running under Digital Unix comparable to the hosting servers for Yahoo, Netscape and yes even Microsoft.
